From the point of view money laundering, the most risky sphere is construction which is at the same time the most difficult to discover.
In answer to the question of “1in.am News and Analysis” whether it is possible to discover the injustice in the construction sphere, the director of financial observations of Central Bank, Daniel Azatyan said that unless the parties complain and enter the criminal field, the injustice is difficult to find. The majority of complaints sent to the lawyer service refer to the construction sphere.
“The most vulnerable part of Armenia that is fixed also by international agencies, is the economy based on cash which becomes a reason of serious problems. Unfortunately, there are still no limitations about cash contracts, which cause several problems, as well as shadow economy.”- said D.Azatyan adding that there are several matters concerning credits and if the criminal staff is found, the injustice will be found out as well.
