In the European court of human rights the discussion of the suit of “Haykakan Zhamanak” daily publisher “Dareskizb” Ltd against RA government is over and the resolution will be announced in coming months.
This was told by the advocate of “Dareskizb” Ltd in European court Tigran Atanesyan in the interview with “HZh” correspondent. The publishing house of the daily appealed Robert Kocharyan’s decision to ban the free activity of mass media on March 1st 2008. According to that point of the decision “HZh” and several other daily newspapers were banned to be published. “Dareskizb” Ltd demanded compensation of 9 million AMD for 20 days of not publishing, and the expenditure on advocate is estimated 10 thousand Euros. After discussing the suits, European court makes decision in 6 months or in a year.
