Akif Çağatay Kılıç, the Turkish President’s Chief Advisor on Foreign Policy and Security, received Magdalena Grono, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, at the presidential complex.
According to Akif Çağatay Kılıç, the meeting focused on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and the current stage of normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations. The parties discussed in detail regional stability, security, and the prospects for the development of communication and infrastructure projects in the South Caucasus.
Magdalena Grono also shared the results of her visit to Ankara, describing the discussions as interesting and inspiring. According to the EU Special Representative, the focus of the talks was on regional connectivity and the ongoing positive developments in the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening peace and cooperation in the entire South Caucasus through joint efforts.
