Kuwait today accused Iran of sending a group of armed Revolutionary Guards to attack the island of Bubiyan. According to an official statement, a group of six armed men tried to invade the island in the northwestern Persian Gulf to carry out “hostile actions.”
Kuwaiti law enforcement officers managed to arrest four members of the group, while two escaped. A Kuwaiti security officer was injured in the clash.
Meanwhile, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said that Israel has sent Iron Dome missile defense systems and maintenance personnel to the United Arab Emirates to strengthen the country’s defenses in the event of a possible war with Iran.
This is the first public confirmation of the deployment of Israeli military forces on Emirati territory, underscoring the deepening defense cooperation between the two countries against threats emanating from Tehran.
