According to the idea of the curator of the Armenian pavilion, Tony Shafrazi, the Armenian pavilion is built on the principle of a studio, which is not only a workroom, but also a factory and laboratory – a place of constant production and transformation. Zadik Zadikyan’s plaster casts are presented, which are elementary and fundamental, minimal and maximal: each main subject is simultaneously “the only one and interconnected.”
Throughout the exhibition, unexpected fusions of various forms will be created in the art studio, and master classes will also be held.
The official opening of the Armenian pavilion was led by Svetlana Sahakyan, Head of the Department of Contemporary Art and Book Publishing of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Armenia, Commissioner of the Armenian Pavilion.
