The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia invites you to celebrate International Museum Day on May 18 and to participate in the pan-European event “Museum Night” on May 16.
International Museum Day is celebrated every year on May 18, which this year bears the theme “Museums Unite a Fragmented World”, emphasizing the key role of museums as platforms for cultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and the preservation and transmission of universal human values.
Armenian museums, joining the international initiative, organize a variety of events: exhibitions, educational programs, master classes, public discussions, and special visits designed for people of different age groups and interests.
As part of International Museum Day, one of the most anticipated cultural events, the Night of Museums will also be held on May 16. On that day, numerous museums in Armenia will open their doors to visitors until late at night, offering a unique cultural program. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover museum collections in a new format, participate in interactive events, and enjoy a rich cultural environment.
The goal of the events is to stimulate public interest in cultural heritage, strengthen the connection between museums and the public, and emphasize the importance of culture in building a harmonious and united society.
On May 16, the museums that joined the program will offer free admission from 11:00 to 24:00, and on May 18, according to the main visiting hours.
