Massive wildfires in southern Florida, USA, have burned out of control, ravaging vast swaths of the Everglades and Big Cypress national parks.
The fire has already consumed an estimated 100-140 square kilometers of forest, with thick smoke and streaks of fire visible even from space.
Dry weather and strong winds are further complicating the work of firefighting aircraft and ground units, while the flames are dangerously close to highways and residential areas.
