On May 7, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, met with the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkėvičs.
Alen Simonyan thanked the President of Latvia for being in our country during these historic days for Armenia and for expressing support for Armenia’s democratic processes.
The President of Latvia, in turn, thanked him for the warm welcome, noting that he was happy to be in Armenia, which has chosen the path of reforms and democratic development.
The interlocutors’ discussions focused on bilateral relations, the RA-EU agenda, and the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia.
Regional developments and other bilateral issues were also discussed.
The President of Latvia, together with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, also followed the ongoing regular sessions.
