A new gallery has opened at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, showcasing works of art looted by the Nazis during World War II and still not returned. These works are called MNR (National Museums Recovery). There are about 2,200 such works in France that were returned after the war, but their legal owners have not been found. The state keeps them for possible heirs.
