Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has thanked US President Donald Trump for his announcement to suspend Project Freedom. Sharif stressed that this step is important for restoring stability in the region.
The prime minister noted that the decision was taken in response to the request of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“President Trump’s favorable response to the request of Pakistan and other brotherly countries will greatly contribute to regional peace and reconciliation at this sensitive time,” he wrote on his X page.
