Iranian state media is presenting US President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend the “Project Freedom” military operation in the Strait of Hormuz as a “victory.”
As reported by N12, Tehran’s propaganda machine, in particular the Kayhan newspaper and the Tasnim agency, is describing Washington’s move as a “capitulation” and an “American failure,” claiming that Trump was forced to back down due to Iran’s harsh warnings.
Meanwhile, the White House has clarified that the operation was temporarily suspended to allow for negotiations, while the blockade of the strait remains in effect.
