On May 5, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alain Simonyan, received a delegation led by the Speaker of the Belgian House of Representatives, Peter de Rouvet
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia thanked his colleague for being in our country during these important days for Armenia and for participating in the events.
Peter de Rouvet, in turn, thanked Alain Simonyan for the warm welcome, noting that he was happy to be in Armenia, which is on the path of reform and democratic development.
The interlocutors’ discussions focused on interparliamentary ties, bilateral relations, the RA-EU agenda, and the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia.
Regional developments and other bilateral issues were also discussed.
Accompanied by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the members of the delegation toured the National Assembly Park, where a tree symbolizing the friendship between Armenia and Belgium has also been planted, got acquainted with the history of the building of the legislative body of our country, and followed the work of the regular sessions.
