US President Donald Trump has said that Iran has launched attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz that are not related to the conflict.
He mentioned the attack on a South Korean cargo ship and said that South Korea may consider joining an international mission to protect shipping.
Iran has launched a series of attacks on countries that are not related to the conflict, including a South Korean cargo ship. It may be time for South Korea to join the mission. We have hit seven small boats, or, as they call them, “fast” boats. That’s all they have left.
Apart from the South Korean ship, there has been no damage to anything in transit through the strait so far. Secretary of War Pete Hegsett and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Kaine will hold a press conference tomorrow morning,” the US president said.
