Council of Europe President Antonio Costa said during the 8th Summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan that the summit was truly historic.
“President Aliyev also participated in this summit via video link. This summit will be remembered as a peace summit in the Caucasus, brought about by courageous political decisions and tireless diplomatic efforts,” said Antonio Costa.
According to him, Europe must work comprehensively with Armenia and ensure peace and stability in the entire region. “Lasting peace and stability are anchored in resilient democratic structures and strong economic ties between neighbors,” Costa said.
“This is a historic event in a world where escalations and war seem to prevail,” he continued.
