Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the Government House.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of Mark Carney and the delegation to Armenia within the framework of the 8th Summit of the European Political Community. “I would like to thank you for accepting the invitation to participate in the Summit of the European Political Community and for taking the opportunity to visit our country. I believe that your participation makes this format more effective, because it clearly broadens the views and perspectives,” the head of state noted.
Mark Carney thanked the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Government for the invitation to participate in this important event. The Canadian Prime Minister thanked Nikol Pashinyan and the Government of Armenia for the support provided to Canadians in connection with the Iran conflict. At the same time, he touched upon the ongoing monitoring in the region with the European Union and expressed their readiness to provide support in holding elections. The Canadian Prime Minister noted his deep impression of the steps taken under Prime Minister Pashinyan’s leadership to bring regional stability and greater prosperity to the Armenian people.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the friendly bilateral relations between Armenia and Canada and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
