Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, the Armenian Genocide Museum reports.
The guests were welcomed and accompanied during the visit by Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum Hrachya Tashchyan, who presented the meaning and significance of the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
Officials from both countries laid flowers at the eternal flame and observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Ms. Anand had a short tour of the Armenian Genocide Museum, where she was introduced to the permanent and temporary exhibitions by tour guide Hasmik Martirosyan. Then she made a note in the Guest of Honor Book.
Expressing gratitude for the visit, Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum Hrachya Tashchyan presented the high-ranking guest with an English-language photo book of the Armenian Genocide Museum.
