The UK government has announced an additional £25 million (about $33.6 million) to strengthen the protection of the Jewish community.
The decision comes after the deadly incident in the Golders Green district of north London on April 29, when two Jewish men were stabbed in the street.
Homeland Security Minister Dan Jarvis said that in addition to financial support, the government would fast-track new legislation to counter state threats.
According to the minister, these steps will enhance law enforcement agencies’ capabilities and ensure community safety, preventing the recurrence of such attacks.
