French President Emmanuel Macron, who will arrive in Yerevan on May 3-5 for the summit of European heads of state, will also visit Gyumri.
By the government’s decision, 392 million 897.7 thousand drams will be allocated for organizing a concert in Gyumri.
“On this occasion, numerous cultural events will be held, including concerts, one of which will be in Gyumri. The organization of the concert in Gyumri is contingent on the French President’s visit to the city.
On May 5, a large concert dedicated to the friendship between Armenia and France and to deepening cultural cooperation is planned to be held in Gyumri’s Vardanants Square.
The concert program will feature Armenian and French thematic songs performed by famous Armenian and French artists, accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia,” the draft decision states.
