Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a meeting with Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan that biometric passports in Armenia will be red.
“The first change is the color change. According to our research, the red shade is among the most popular worldwide. In this case, the change will become more obvious, since the old passports will be in circulation for some time,” the Prime Minister said.
According to him, on the left side of the first page is an outline map of the Republic of Armenia, followed by the coat of arms and text information. “The important thing here is the outline map of our country,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
Arpine Sargsyan also noted that these changes are also important for completing the visa liberalization process with the EU.
