Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has issued a scathing statement targeting the Israeli government and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Erdogan said any attempt to establish stability in the Middle East would be sabotaged by Israel, which builds its security on the insecurity of others.
The Turkish leader stressed that Israel is targeting countries that raise their voices for peace, especially Turkey and Spain. Referring to the position of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Erdogan said: “I sincerely congratulate my dear friend Sanchez for standing firm against the threats of the executioner of Gaza, Netanyahu,” he said.
He reiterated that regional peace will only come in the face of forces guided by the illusion of “promised countries” and that continue to fan the flames of war.
