Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai confirmed that Tehran is hosting a high-ranking Pakistani delegation today. The visit is aimed at continuing the mediation efforts between Iran and the United States that began in Islamabad.
According to Baghaei, since Sunday, when the Iranian delegation returned from Pakistan, numerous messages have been exchanged between the sides through the mediation of the Pakistani side.
The spokesman stressed that Tehran’s position is clear and has already been conveyed to Washington. During today’s visit, the Pakistani mediators will present in detail the views of the American side, which were formed as a result of separate discussions held in Islamabad.
