Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated in the 8th bilateral meeting of the Armenia-EU Civil Society Platform and delivered a speech, highlighting the importance of this platform, which provides an opportunity to combine state policy and the expert potential of civil society.
“The participation of Prime Minister Pashinyan and all of you in today’s event testifies to the depth of our cooperation and the common commitment that guides us to build a more stable and prosperous future,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted, and emphasized the need for dialogue ahead of the European Political Community and Armenia-EU summits to be held in Yerevan in May to create new prerequisites for the development of the Armenia-EU partnership and its strategic agenda.
Mher Grigoryan touched upon several regional connectivity initiatives currently under active discussion between Armenia and the EU, which align with the EU’s “Global Gateway” strategy and the Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative.
These programs aim to promote regional sustainable development and the peace agenda, contributing to Armenia’s integration into European transport, energy, and digital networks.
We are confident that such projects can become important pillars of the country’s socio-economic resilience and long-term stability,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
Mher Grigoryan also touched upon the importance of the ACP-EU Partnership and its implementation process, highlighting the role of civil society in that process and in open, inclusive, and result-oriented discussions.
Summing up his speech, Mher Grigoryan emphasized: “Armenia will continue its path based on democratic values, human rights, and the rule of law. Our partnership with the European Union is of key importance on this path, and we are determined to further deepen it for the benefit of our citizens and regional stability.”
