Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered a speech at the 8th bilateral meeting of the Armenia-EU Civil Society Platform. He stated that, although great progress has been made in democracy and the development of the state economy, there are serious problems, and their resolution is a priority on the agenda.
“In the Republic of Armenia, the judicial, justice, and fairness systems generally do not have an organic connection with the highest source of power, the people. This problem is one of the most important that we must solve in the near future by adopting a new constitution.
According to him, the biggest criticism of the Armenian government is that, despite having justice as one of the main agendas of the revolution, it has not yet achieved any successes in the field of justice in Armenia that would be considered good or satisfactory.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that, as in the past, they will now deepen the connection with the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform.
