US Vice President J.D. Vance has left for Pakistan, where negotiations with the Iranian side are scheduled. In a conversation with reporters before his departure, Vance expressed optimism about the upcoming meeting, noting that they are ready for a constructive dialogue if the other side also shows goodwill.
“We look forward to the negotiations. I think they will be positive. If the Iranians are ready to negotiate in good faith and extend a helping hand, that is one thing. If they try to play with us, they will find that the negotiating team is not very receptive. The president gave us pretty clear instructions, and we will see what comes out of it,” the US Vice President said.
