As part of the Artemis 2 mission, astronauts Reed Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen have begun their return to Earth after a lunar orbit. The most dangerous phase of the mission is atmospheric reentry, when the Orion spacecraft will enter Earth’s atmosphere from an altitude of about 120 kilometers, traveling at a speed of about 38,000 kilometers per hour.
