The Wireless Festival in London has been canceled after British authorities denied the entry of headliner Kanye West.
The government said the rapper’s presence was not in the public interest. The musician has been widely criticized in recent years for his racist and Nazi-sympathetic statements. Festival organizers said the event was being canceled and all ticket holders would be refunded.
In 2022, Kanye West posted a threat to Jews on social media and later spoke positively about Adolf Hitler in an interview. In 2025, he also released the song “Heil Hitler” and sold swastika T-shirts.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the rapper should not have been invited to headline the festival and stressed that the government would continue to combat anti-Semitism (outright hatred or discrimination against people of Jewish origin).
