Iran’s Security Council issued a statement, stressing that “the adversary has suffered an undeniable, historic and crushing defeat in its dishonorable, illegal and criminal war against the Iranian people.”
“Iran has achieved a great victory and has forced the US to accept its 10-point proposal.
The US is committed in principle to:
1. Refrain from aggression
2. Maintain Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz
3. Recognize uranium enrichment
4. Lift all primary sanctions
5. Lift all secondary sanctions
6. Suspend all Security Council resolutions
7. Suspend all Council of Governors resolutions
8. Pay compensation to Iran
9. Withdraw US combat forces from the region
10. Cease the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.
It has been decided to hold talks in Islamabad to finalize the details within 15 days at the latest.
This does not mean the end of the war, and Iran will accept it only if the principles outlined in the 10-point plan are agreed upon in the final negotiations,” the statement said.
