Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is unconscious and receiving treatment in the city of Qom for serious health problems. According to a diplomatic memo based on US-Israeli intelligence, he is currently unable to govern the country or participate in administrative decisions.
This is the first time since the start of the war that information about Khamenei’s whereabouts has been made public. It is believed that he was wounded during the first military strikes on February 28. Currently, the Iranian leader’s extremely serious health condition makes it virtually impossible for him to participate in state affairs.
