Today, the Habertürk television channel reported the recording of a rare astronomical phenomenon, the “blood moon,” in the southwestern province of Muğla.
“The moon took on a reddish hue, creating a spectacular sight in the sky,” the channel noted.
Residents of several regions in the province observed the unusual phenomenon, thanks to the clear weather that allowed for visibility, according to Habertürk. It is noted that such an effect occurs during a lunar eclipse, when the Earth’s satellite takes on a reddish hue due to the refraction of sunlight in the atmosphere.
