According to the Iranian Tasnim news agency, the spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced that the pilot of the downed American fighter jet was not rescued.
“The enemy’s attempts with the participation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, the Basij, and law enforcement forces failed, and they were unable to rescue the pilot of the downed fighter jet,” the statement said.
The statement also noted that two Iranian Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 military transport plane were also shot down south of Isfahan.
Recall that Donald Trump had announced that two members of the downed American fighter jet were rescued.
