Every week, hundreds of people line up to receive food in an unusual place: the courtyard of the modest house where Argentine football legend Diego Armando Maradona was born. The house is located in the poor neighborhood of Villa Fiorito, a suburb of Buenos Aires. The house no longer belongs to Maradona’s family, but for the past month, the current owner has been offering its fenced-in yard to a group of volunteers. A large mural of Maradona and the words “House of God” adorn the top of the house, a reminder of how much he means to Argentines.
