A plasma cloud ejected from a powerful solar flare could reach Earth in the coming days and cause magnetic disturbances. According to preliminary calculations, it could reach our planet on the night of April 1.
According to scientists, the plasma cloud ejected from the Sun was caused by a class X flare, recorded as an X1.5. The first quickly compiled simulation shows a borderline situation: according to the main scenario, the plasma cloud could only touch the Earth with its edge on the night of April 1. In this case, our planet could be in the zone of influence of solar material for about 2-3 days. At the same time, scientists note that even a very small deviation can change the situation.
