Iran’s permanent mission to the UN has issued an official statement clarifying the rules for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. According to the Iranian side, ships belonging to or affiliated with non-hostile countries may enjoy the right of safe navigation, provided certain strict conditions are met.
