US President Donald Trump has announced his full support for the re-election of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. In his official message, Trump praised Orbán’s leadership, highlighting his achievements in economic growth, job creation, and preventing illegal migration.
According to the president, during his administration, US-Hungary relations have reached an unprecedented level of cooperation. Trump stressed that Viktor Orbán has consistently fought for his country’s interests and the maintenance of law and order.
Taking into account the elections scheduled for April 12, 2026, Donald Trump urged Hungarian voters to vote for the incumbent prime minister, reaffirming his readiness to continue close cooperation with Hungary.
“Viktor is working hard to protect Hungary, develop the economy, create jobs, promote trade, prevent illegal immigration, and ensure law and order. “The relationship between Hungary and the United States has reached new heights of cooperation and impressive achievements under my administration, largely thanks to Prime Minister Orbán,” Trump wrote on his Truth page.
