Armenian grandmaster Hayk Martirosyan is the sole leader before the penultimate round of the “19th Agzamov Memorial” international chess tournament in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The Chess Federation of Armenia reported this.
In the 8th round, Hayk Martirosyan defeated Uzbek grandmaster Abdimalik Abdisalimov. FIDE grandmasters Artyom Uskov and Nikita Afanasyev, as well as international masters Muhammadzokhid Suyarov and Bakhrom Bakhrillayev from Uzbekistan, are half a point behind him.
The 9th round will start tomorrow at 14:00 Armenian time.
