Despite this information, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to give any official comment on the US-Iran talks or the White House’s decision to postpone the strikes.
These developments are taking place against the backdrop of an ultimatum set by President Donald Trump, which was set to expire late on Monday. Recall that Trump had threatened to destroy Iran’s energy system if Tehran did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz to all types of shipping within 48 hours.
