US President Donald Trump will highlight his tougher immigration policies, cuts to federal funding, his desire to uphold a sweeping tariff bill recently struck down by the Supreme Court, and his ability to quickly take military action in countries around the world, including Iran and Venezuela, in his State of the Union address, AP News reports.
The main theme of the speech will be his claim that the country is “booming,” with growing domestic production and the creation of new jobs, even though many Americans do not think so.
“It’s going to be a long speech because we have a lot to talk about,” Trump said, promising to pay close attention to the economy.
