The United States wants to reach an agreement on resolving the Ukraine issue by July 4, which is Independence Day in the United States, Bloomberg reports.
According to the agency, the United States is seeking an agreement before Trump celebrates the 250th anniversary of independence.
Representatives of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine held talks in Geneva on February 17-18. The Russian delegation was led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who noted on the second day of the talks that the discussions were difficult but practical. Medinsky also expressed hope that the next meeting would take place soon.
