Roskomnadzor has not commented on reports of the complete closure of Telegram. This was reported by the Russian news agency RBC.
“The agency has nothing to add to the previously published information on this issue,” the Roskomnadzor press service told RBC.
The Telegram channel Baza earlier reported that the application would be completely blocked in Russia from April 1. According to the channel, starting that day, Roskomnadzor will begin a complete blocking of the messenger, as with Instagram and Facebook.
These measures will be implemented nationwide: the application will not be downloaded from mobile networks or fixed Internet systems.
