At the end of February, a rare sight awaits stargazers: six planets – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune – will appear almost in one line, creating a “parade of the planets”.
The best day to watch is February 28, about 30 minutes after sunset. Four planets – Mercury, Venus, Mars and Saturn – can be seen with the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune require binoculars.
This phenomenon occurs because the planets orbit the Sun in the same plane. Such large-scale parades are rare, and a similar phenomenon is expected only in 2040
