Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on receiving the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity.
The Turkish leader announced in a video message to the awardees.
“I would like to emphasize that I attach great importance to both the bold steps taken by my brother Ilham Aliyev to establish lasting peace, and the resolute will shown by Nikol Pashinyan.
With the agreement entering into force, the goals and format of which have been agreed upon by both sides, a new page will be opened for the Caucasus. Turkey sincerely supports all initiatives aimed at security, peace, prosperity, and stability in the region and around the world,” he said.
