The White House has confirmed that US-Iran talks will take place this weekend, despite the downing of an Iranian drone.
“At this point, these talks remain scheduled. President Trump always prioritizes diplomacy. But of course, it takes two to tango,” said White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt.
Axios correspondent Barack Ravid, citing a source, confirmed that the US administration has accepted Tehran’s request to move the talks to Oman.
He also reported that talks are ongoing on whether Arab and Muslim countries in the region will join the talks in Oman.
