On February 2, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, Khalil Shirgholami.
The Speaker of the Parliament congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that his activities would further strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.
