Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke by telephone with US President Donald Trump.
The parties discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and the United States, the latest developments in Syria, the Gaza Peace Council issue, trade relations (especially in the defense industry), and regional and global current events.
Erdogan noted that Ankara will continue to take steps to deepen cooperation between Turkey and the United States, as the progress of relations across all areas aligns with the common interests of both countries. He emphasized that Turkey attaches great importance to the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Syria and the integration processes. According to Erdogan, Turkey is closely following this process in a coordinated manner with the US and Syrian authorities. Erdogan expressed hope that the Gaza Peace Council will carry out practical work.
