The death toll from protests over economic issues in Iran has passed 5,000, the HRANA news agency reported, noting that 26,852 people have been arrested during the unrest.
The US agency based in Virginia said internet access remains a problem. The agency is still unable to obtain accurate information from the local population amid widespread internet outages.
