The Igdir branch of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) has developed a comprehensive action plan for anticipated tourist flows following the opening of the checkpoint. It was submitted to the Igdir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ITSO), Iğdır Haber reports.
A report has been prepared on the process of opening the Alijan (Margara) checkpoint, which is of strategic importance for the revitalization of the region’s economy. The report examines issues related to receiving tourists from Armenia, raising service standards, and preparing logistics infrastructure.
Kamil Arslan, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed the report and stated that the chamber will fulfill its obligations.
“We will work to provide all the facilities for future tourists. We will especially activate awareness-raising activities so that our businessmen prepare for this process and show appropriate readiness,” he said.
