The Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, has been included in the “Government AI 100″ 2026 list compiled by the internationally renowned Apolitical platform, which presents the 100 most influential leaders who play a key role in the formation and effective implementation of policies aimed at the development of artificial intelligence in the field of public administration.
According to Apolitical, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan plays a key role in shaping Armenia’s technological and innovation agenda. It is emphasized that strategic initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence are being implemented under the coordination of the Minister of High-Tech Industry, including the creation of a large-scale AI data center in Armenia and the implementation of several other AI programs. The Minister’s consistent approach to artificial intelligence literacy is also highlighted, with the proposal to systematically introduce AI education in schools and universities as an essential direction for developing the capabilities of future specialists.
