Levon Azizyan, Director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Meteorology and Geophysics, wrote on his social network page:
“There has been nothing like this for a long time. The negative temperature anomaly stretches for almost 7,000 kilometers. On January 23, cold weather will be established in the area from Amsterdam to Chita. The length of this anomaly is approximately 6,600 km.
The epicenter of the frost will be in the Middle Urals. On the morning of January 23, the temperature there will be 20 degrees below normal, reaching a minimum of -37.”
