The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian armed forces, in response to Kyiv’s attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, have launched a massive strike on critical Ukrainian facilities, including the Oreshnik medium-range mobile missile system.
“Tonight, in response to the terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime on the residence of the Russian President in the Novgorod region on December 29, 2025, the Russian armed forces have launched a massive strike on critical facilities on the territory of Ukraine with long-range high-precision weapons, land- and sea-based, including the Oreshnik medium-range mobile missile system, as well as strike drones,” the ministry said.
The ministry also noted, “The drone production facilities used in the terrorist attack, as well as the energy infrastructure that supports the operation of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, were hit.”
