Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with Bloomberg that elements of the US peace plan require further discussion on several “sensitive issues.” According to him, security guarantees for Ukraine and territorial issues are of particular importance.
The Ukrainian leader noted that the negotiations have not yet reached an agreement on the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Zelensky said that Kyiv insists on a separate agreement on security guarantees from Western allies, primarily the United States.
The negotiators on the peace plan still cannot agree on the territorial issue.
There is one question that all of us Ukrainians want to get an answer to: if Russia starts a war again, what will our partners do?” Zelensky said.
